Step 1 | Step 2 | Step 3 | Step 4 | Step 5 | Step 6 | Step 7 Detox with the Seasons The human body is a highly structured unit that reacts and responds simultaneously to automated directives from the Central Nervous System (CNS), to sustain the body's continuous life building activities. Just like a computer or machine the human body needs ongoing maintenance. Our bodies are subjected to extensive deterioration from the environment, stress, and the refined and processed foods that weaken our digestive system. This results in many toxins in the body which can deplete the body of many key nutrients and prohibits the body from performing at optimum efficiency. So it is important that we honor our bodies and administer a regular cleaning or maintenance program. There are many types of detoxing or cleansing options to choose from. I recommend a whole body cleanse that concentrates on cleansing the organs and cells inside of the body as well as cleansing your skin. You should try to implement an internal body detox twice a year: Regular detoxing may: INTERNAL CLEANSING Increasing Elimination Elimination of stool and urine is the body's primary method of getting rid of toxic substances. Especially important during detox, regular bowel movements decrease the likelihood that toxins will be reabsorbed into the body. BENTONITE CLAY and FLAXSEEDS assist with the detox process. Bentonite is a type of edible clay that acts as a bulk laxative by absorbing water to form a gel. It binds toxins such as pesticides and helps to carry them out of the colon. Flaxseeds also absorb water and expand in the colon, allowing toxins and mucus to be removed. In addition, flaxseeds have been found to lower cholesterol levels. Take one tablespoon of liquid bentonite and one tablespoon of ground flaxseeds in a glass of water first thing in the morning (wait at least 1/2 hour before eating) and before bed. Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day or constipation may result. If flaxseed is unavailable, psyllium or oatbran can be substituted. Bentonite intake should be reduced and timed away from medication intake as it may interfere with absorption. LEMON JUICE in water also has a slightly laxative effect and stimulates the digestive juices which are important for detox. Squeeze half a lemon into warm water and drink immediately after rising in the morning, before having the bentonite clay and flaxseed drink. ENJOY THE FOLLOWING FOODS: AVOID THE FOLLOWING FOODS: DAILY DETOX NECESSITIES: COLON HYDOTHERAPHY CLEANSING and ENEMAS' You may also want to consider cleansing the colon with water with an enema or a colonic irrigation. The word Enema usually refers to a liquid that is forced (by low pressure) into the rectum, through anus, in order to induce bowel movement, or to wash/cleanse colon, or to re-populate colon with good bacteria, or to treat colon disease and colon related illness. Enema is an ancient remedy for all kinds of ailments, and especially for people suffering from serious injuries, constipation, poisoning, acute headache, flu, meningitis, parasites, measles, common cold, food poisoning. A Colonic Irrigation using the gravitational method is an internal bath that helps cleanse the Colon of Poisons, Gas, and Accumulated Fecal Matter. Unlike an ENEMA, it does not involve the retention of water. There is NO discomfort, NO internal pressure, just a steady gentle flow in and out of the Colon. At the same time, an Abdominal Massage is given to stimulate the Colon to recover its natural Shape, Tone, and Peristaltic Wave Action. No other system can equal this process. Seaweeds balance body chemistry, releases excess body fluids from congested cells and dissolves fatty wastes through the skin, replacing them with depleted minerals, particularly potassium and iodine. Prerequisites Taking a Therapeutic Bath 1. Draw very hot bath water. 2. Put the herbs, seaweeds or mineral crystals into a large tea ball or muslin bath bag. 3. Add mineral salts directly to the water. 4. Steep until water cools and is aromatic. 5. Rub the body with the solids in the muslin bag during the bath. Post Therapeutic Bath Use a mineral salt scrub to make your skin feel healthy for hours.
